Before you start raising money for Hero Paws, please take a moment to read the following.
People matter 🐾
Fundraising is better together. Rally your friends, family, colleagues, or fellow dog lovers and give everyone a role. The more hands and hearts involved, the more enjoyable, and successful, your fundraiser will be.
Entertainment & permissions
If your event includes performances, live music, or entertainment involving two or more people, it’s worth checking with your local council to see whether a Public Entertainment Licence is required. A quick check now can save stress later.
Spread the word
Word of mouth is powerful. Tell everyone — friends, family, dog walkers, neighbours. Use social media, WhatsApp groups, and community pages to get the message out and build momentum.
Press & publicity
Is your fundraiser something special, unusual, or community-focused? Let us know in advance. If it’s press-worthy, we may be able to help share and promote it through Hero Paws channels.
